Olav Pannenborg succeeds Henk Jan Rijkse as CEO of Supply Chain Group

Olav Pannenborg

The Dutch service provider Supply Chain Group announces that Olav Pannenborg has taken over from Henk Jan Rijkse as CEO as of 1 October 2024. With Pannenborg’s arrival, Supply Chain Group enters a new phase of the journey to realize its global growth ambitions.

Olav Pannenborg will act as CEO for both of Supply Chain Group’s businesses: Chainresult and Supply Chain Company. Chainresult was founded in 2002 and is a long-standing household name in the agricultural and food sectors. With approximately 20 consultants, Chainresult helps its clients to remain future-proof by removing obstacles to growth. ‘People’, ‘process’ and ‘data’ are key words in its business implementations.

Supply Chain Company implements software solutions for complex logistics, planning, production and distribution-related issues, and is growing strongly. Since being founded in 2017, the company has grown to around 50 employees, with offices in the Netherlands, Denmark and New Zealand. Earlier this year, it also opened offices in Spain and the United Kingdom.

Pannenborg comes from technology company Endava, where his responsibilities included performance of the Benelux region and European growth. Before that, among other things, he was part of the start-up team of the private pension insurer and investment firm Brand New Day when it was founded in 2009.

“I am a strategic thinker who is constantly looking for new challenges and opportunities,” comments Pannenborg. “I’m very much looking forward to building on the success of Supply Chain Group globally.” Pannenborg will be further professionalizing the operations of both companies, and will take the company’s international expansion to the next phase.

“We are very pleased with the arrival of Olav Pannenborg,” says Henk Jan Rijkse about his successor. “With his broad knowledge and experience of technology, IT and business scaling, coupled with his extensive experience in the fintech sector, he is the right person to lead our fast-growing organization and professionally manage our further expansion.”

Rijkse himself is not leaving Supply Chain Group. Instead, he will focus on developing and opening up new markets, and expanding the company’s services. “We are working hard to further expand our consultancy activities and implementation network in various regions, including the DACH region and the Spanish-speaking market,” states Rijkse.
