Earlier this year, Supply Chain Company’s Spanish office was set up. Under the leadership of Sander Mullink the Malaga based team is rapidly growing. Three new employees are introducing themselves: Theo Mates, Lucy Mackova and Pascual Vila.

Data integration specialist
“I am responsible for the management of data integrations, making sure that the data supports strategic objectives. As a data enthusiast, I just love to quantify and measure everything. Both historical data and forecasting let us understand the present, and how to get the most out of it.”
Background:
“I previously worked for AT&T (Czech Republic), first as a QA engineer and then got promoted to software developer.”
Supply Chain Company because:
“Being 24 years old, I’m still growing both personally and professionally. I was looking for a in a team where I can be productive and collectively collaborating and grow individually. I believe Supply Chain Company is going to be that place in the long future. I love how the emphasis is placed on collaboration and teamwork, with employees encouraged to work with roles based on competencies rather than hierarchical positions. And, the city is amazing! Ever since I came to study in Malaga when I was 18, I have been totally in love with the city and its surroundings.”
Favorite pastime:
“Anything out of my comfort zone. I don’t understand life without challenges. I like to go places where none of us have been before, where we can get lost and try to survive, instead of planning something calm and relaxing. Where is the excitement when you already know what’s going to happen?”

Configuration specialist
“Setting up our platforms for the client will be definitely a big chunk of my task load. Configuring software for clients involves understanding their specific needs and constraints. It requires diagnosing issues, proposing solutions, and customizing configurations to optimize the system for their operations.”
Background:
“I was born and raised in Slovakia. I have 3 degrees in English, from Slovakia, Scotland and Spain. I worked as an English Teacher in Spain for around 14 years. During this time, I worked for language academies, schools and I was self-employed during my last three years of teaching. After contemplating during Covid, I decided it was the right time for a new challenge. I have always been curious about computers and things related to them. When I was a teenager, I got into a specialized IT class at high school. However, the program was in its infancy, and it did not fit my needs, so I drifted away from programming and the IT world. So, it felt great when I signed up for a coding course. I graduated from 4Geeks Academy last September as a Full Stack Developer.”
Supply Chain Company because:
“Planning processes come naturally to me. I enjoy planning and improving things, so when I learnt about Supply Chain Company was opening an office in Malaga I wanted to apply. I believe my past experiences prepared me well for this role and I will be helpful to my team and the company.”
Favorite pastime:
“Nothing puts things into perspective for me quite like horse riding. When you’re atop a 600-kilogram animal, easily startled by its own shadow, you see things in a different light. I take classes at a local horse school, but I would like to own a horse someday.”

Configuration specialist
“As a configuration specialist I am creating data-driven solutions for companies according to their needs. This entails translating design documents prepared by our consultants into a model and appropriate functionalities, configuring the solution in the planning software and testing the results of the implemented design.”
Background:
“For many years, I was involved in graphic design, web design, ux/ui. Working in London, I decided to make the leap to software. I worked as Front End at Curtis Fitch and Full Stack at Accenture.”
Supply Chain Company because:
“The opportunity to work at Supply Chain Company came from the search for new challenges and getting to know all facets of the software world.
Favorite pastime:
“I like outdoor activity, including running and cycling.”
